Nowadays It becomes very difficult to find a Professional Carpenter in Mumbai and also Carpenter find it difficult to find a new job. Because nowaday people less prefer wooden furniture, structure etc...Don't hire the Carpenter in desperation first ask about his Work Experience, Quotation, Procedure etc....

Experience

Very important question to ask before hiring a Carpenter about his Experience. Experience matters a Lot, from how many years he is offering a Carpentry Services. Carpenter who is having more years of experience, knows more techniques and are highly skilled. However there can be few exceptions in which newly experienced can be given chance.

Projects

You can ask the Carpenter about the Similar projects that he have Completed Earlier. It may be the best thing if the Carpenter have completed the Similar Projects earlier (within a year). There are higher level of chances that he knows the newest techniques, latest material etc...

Portfolio and Sketches

It is very important that you ask the Carpenter about his portfolio. He should have plenty amount of photos of his previous completed projects. Examine the each picture very carefuly. You can ask the Carpenter what you want exactly and ask him to make the sketch out of it. It is very necessary to know whether or not he understood what you want exactly from him.

Quotation

It you have got full satisfaction from Carpenters Sketch, Communication Skills and Portfolio etc...Now it is time for get Quotation from him. Ask him for detailed Quotation how much is for the material and how much is for the labour. Most of the time it happens that Carpenters take a Subcontractor with him which increases the Cost of the Carpentry work. If you are ok with sub contractor then it will be better to meet the subcontractor by yourself.

License

Check the appropriate Licensing of Carpenter. A Carpenter should have proper license to carry Carpentry work. If you hire a Carpenter without license then he may spoil the work resulting in heavy losses.

Insurance

Carpenter should have Personal Insurance and Business Insurance. It doesn't matters if you are having lot many years of experience and undertaken all the necessary training required. With these efforts you can minimise the happenings of accident. But then also it happens at that time you should have insurance to protect the Carpentry business.
